SolarEdge inverters report faults on an LCD screen (older models), through status LEDs and the SetApp app (newer HD-Wave and Home Wave models), and in the SolarEdge monitoring app. The same fault can show a different code depending on the inverter and its firmware — each page below lists which equipment it applies to.
Safety faults such as an isolation fault need professional testing to find the cause. Renew Solar Services is authorized to service and repair SolarEdge systems throughout Nassau and Suffolk County.
SolarEdge codes and messages
| Code / message | Equipment | What it means |
|---|---|---|
Isolation Fault — Error 25, 2x19, 18x86 | Single-phase inverters (LCD and SetApp) | The array isn’t properly isolated from ground |
How SolarEdge codes are shown
- Older firmware (CPU 3.18xx and earlier): a plain error number, for example “Error 25”.
- Newer firmware (CPU 3.19xx and later): a code with an “x” in it, for example “
2x19“. - HD-Wave inverters set up with SetApp: status LEDs on the inverter, with the code shown in the SetApp status screen.
